The Bath Boccia Club Background

Launched in 2018 in partnership with BANES council, this fun, exciting league brings together adults from multiple day services to take part in fun, formalised competition, which take place four times a season! The league is open for people of all abilities and was established based on a community need for more physical activity oppportunities.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport for people with physical and learning disabilities. It is a target sport, similar to bowls, but played indoors and with leather balls. Everyone plays seated so it is suitable for wheelchair and non-wheelchair users.

Teams are made up of 3-6 individuals, with some groups entering multiple teams!
